Grilled Peanut Butter Apple Sandwiches Recipe
These sandwiches are a simple, but impressive, combination of flavors and textures--apple, peanut butter, cinnamon--perfect for after-school snacking or a quick lunch. Great with a glass of cold milk!
My kids love to spread peanut butter on their apples, so one day I thought I would take a favorite of theirs and just tweak it a little bit....voila, a peanut butter and apple sandwich. PB and J can get boring after a while and this provides a healthy alternative.
This is peanut butter and jelly with a twist. The kids will thank you for them.
A sweet, warm breakfast idea. Cooked like a grilled cheese, but filled with melted peanut butter and warm bananas.
This odd-sounding sandwich brings together a lot of fun flavors into one surprisingly tasty sandwich. Kids will love fun of it, especially if you ask them to help assemble the sandwiches. Plus they'll be getting good fruit and protein at the same time!
I love apple peanut butter sandwiches so I thought I would give this a try. I didn't really measure the cinnamon and sugar - I don't think I used enough sugar though! I also didn't use the butter, I just used cooking spray - next time I'll definitely use the butter!! I'm sure it tastes great that way.
Grilled PB Apple Sandwich Haiku: "Tasted like dessert. (Maybe isn't a bad thing.) Bit too sweet for me." Made these for lunch today, and my vote next time is either for a grilled cheese, or a peanut butter banana sandwich. (Or just simple smears of peanut butter on apple slices.) These sandwiches were good, but didn't do it for me, as far as being a lunch was concerned. Only change that I made was eyeballing the peanut butter, which I spread on both sides of the bread. Much to my surprise, my 3-year old dissected her sandwich, and left apple carnage on her plate.
Was sitting at home today with a major case of the munchies and came across this recipe. I don't think it could have been better.
OMG - SO YUmmy!
A peanut butter sandwich is the perfect food. This variation on the American classic is great for breakfast, lunch, snacks, or even dinner!
